Our policy and promises


OCT Hotel policy
Once your booking application is confirmed and we fail to provide a room for you, we guarantee to arrange a room at another hotel at our expense and have you back to our hotel for the room you have originally booked as soon as the room is available.

Family program
Following the family program of the hotel, we provide free accommodation for children under 12 who stay with their parents. If your family need more than one room, we will charge on the base of rooms actually occupied by your family.

Children catering programs
Children under 6 are entitled to free self-help meals if accompanied by an adult eating at his/her own expense. Children between 6 and 12 are entitled to a 50% discount on the meal price.

Guarantee booking policy
Unless guaranteed by means of a credit card or earnest money, a room booked by a guest will only be reserved till 4 o'clock (local time) in the afternoon of the day the guest is to check in. If the booking is cancelled within 72 hours before 4 o'clock (local time) in the afternoon of the day the guest is to check in, the guest will be charged for the booked room for one night. This guarantee booking policy does not apply for certain seasons or for group booking. Refer to the guarantee/cancellation policy on the booking confirmation form.

Privacy policy 
OCT Hotels guarantee the privacy of our guests and their business partners and keep your information confidential following relevant laws of the People's Republic of China.

Anonymous visit to our website
Any person may visit our website, www.octhotels.com, anonymously. The website will not collecte information about personal status or email addresses of the browser by computer progress, except that the browser is willing to provide through entering his personal information on the website.

Your personal information and Shangri-La privacy policy
Unless our guest specially requires that his personal information shall be kept confidential, we may use the personal information of our guests for marketing purposes, like collecting information about tour pattern or launching preferential program with our business partners. In certain cases, we will share such information with our reliable partner for the purpose of marketing and promotion.

AS OCT Hotels do not require our guests to provide personal financial information like credit card number, and no decoding technique will be used in collecting information. We shall take reasonable measures to guarantee information our guests provided to the hotel. However, we shall bear no legal liability for any malicious seizure of such information which is out of our control.

Cookies
We may collect information concerning your visit of our website by means of cookies with the view of providing more friendly service. Such cookies are brief information transmitted to the viewer from the web server which is stored on the storage devices of the viewer. Such cookies will not be used to collect your means of contact or personal information.
